Our Whipped Belly Butter is a combination of luxurious butters and oils that work synergistically to nourish your skin and improve elasticity, preparing it for growth and helping to soften existing stretch marks.

How to Use:
Gently massage into stretch mark prone areas in a circular motion to deeply nourish skin, promote elasticity, and increase circulation. Apply throughout the day as needed. Can be used alone or afree our Organic Belly Serum for extra moisturizing benefit.

About Stretch Marks:
When our bodies are growing rapidly, our skin needs a ton of support to keep up. Sometimes, even with adequate nutrition, the collagen and elastin connections in our dermis give into the pressure and rupture. The top layer of skin, called the epidermis, begins to degenerate above these tears. Our bodies do their best to repair the damage by laying down collagen quickly, a process of organized chaos. This is how stretch marks are formed! Unfortunately, scars are constructed entirely of collagen, so they lack the elasticity our skin has. The good news is that, once fully healed, scars can undergo remodeling. Keeping your scars soft and mobile (by massaging Belly Serum and Belly Butter into affected areas) is crucial for remodeling to take place.
Skin gets very itchy when it stretches for multiple reasons. It slowly thins out and has less support, so your nerves send you unpleasant signals to bring attention to the area before tearing occurs. Once the dermis ruptures, it has to heal. If you’ve ever had a healing wound, you know the itchiness can be maddening.
